Finding the right school for your child is as important as finding the right home for your family.  Burkburnett School District is one of the best school districts in Texas.  Nearly 40 percent of the BISD’s 3704 students come from military families.  We have a low student-teacher ratio and 90 percent of our graduates go to college.  Our three elementary schools, middle school and high school offer a wide range of programs.  All elementary and secondary counselors and principals have been trained in military transition issues.  The BISD is a member of the National Association of Federally Impacted Schools, the Military Impacted School Association and the Military Child Education Coalition.
