Recent Business Retention/Expansion Projects
The BDC assisted Whaley Products with their expansion in 2011 with the use of USDA Revolving Loan Funds. Whaley Products estimates that the new larger facility that they were able to build through the use of USDA funds will help create approximately ten new jobs for the Burkburnett Community.
In June of 2011 the BDC reached an agreement with the owner of Little Critters in downtown Burkburnett to assist the business with renovations and an updated facade for the retention and expansion of the business. Little Critters has been in operation in Burkburnett for over 25 years and continues to attract business from around the world with their specialty birds and munchkin kittens. The new renovations will allow room for additional sales floor which is estimated to increase the business income by ten to fifteen percent annually.
